The Little Lights created a "CCE Service Project Suggestion" form and made these available to students to share ideas. Ideas that were suggested included the following:
-Cards each month, ongoing throughout the year to different groups
-start a student government, make sure people are kind at recess
-toy drive - Share the love? - Valentine’s Day? Or Summer Toy Drive?
-hat, mitten, scarf drive
Spread the love and warmth. We supported the Mitten/Hat/Scarf Drive to gather warm clothing items to donate to families in need.

Through our second service project, we wanted our effect to be two-fold. With the mission to spread love and care into the community, CCE Colts created cards to encourage others and at the same time conducted a donation drive to collect items for families in need within our community. Mobile Hope gladly partnered with us and shared a list of needed items. Several card-making kits were created by our team containing cardstock and specially created "CCE Colts Care" stickers. Greeting cards created by CCE students will be shared with two organizations: Mobile Hope and Ashby Ponds Erickson Senior Living Facilities.
Parting Words...
This year was a debut for this leadership team and we are proud of the two service projects we conducted. We look forward to next year as we anticipate even greater success. All in all, we feel that we have accomplished our mission by providing to opportunities this year for students to serve their community, exercise leadership and learn the value of serving others.
