Prospective Chapter Officers

"...and in the ability of progressive agriculturists to serve our own and the public interest in producing and marketing the product of our toil..."

So you're interested in becoming a chapter FFA officer? We're excited that you are considering this position of leadership! Use this page to help find some helpful resources in preparation for your candidacy. Be sure to also talk to officers, other members, and advisors to help you.

The best place to start might be the hardest. Ask yourself this question: Why do I want to serve as a chapter officer? This answer varies from student to student and many answers are good and wholesome. No matter the specific reason, a member must have passion and be willing to serve the members above themselves. Election into chapter leadership should be bestowed upon members who have faith in the future of the organization and wish to see members, their team, the school, and community benefit positively from the impact of Louisa FFA. It's much bigger than one person alone!

We encourage prospective officers to take their time and participate in the events of the chapter as well as be knowledgeable about the National FFA Organization and the opportunities provided for students. Officers should be energized and motivated to lead their peers.
