The Hometown Homecoming Parade has been a tradition since 2016. It runs down Mineral's main street, Mineral Ave, from Mineral Fire Department towards Walton Park.
Thousands of attendees line the streets of our beloved small town to watch an array of floats drive by. These floats are all decorated to match a central theme!
Come on out for a night of fun; we hope you are dazzled by all the sights and sounds of Mineral, our hometown!
The parade begins at Mineral Fire Department and makes a left turn onto Mineral Ave. It proceeds down towards the DMV and past Mineral Mercantile, before making a left onto 5th Street.
The parade floats will then proceed right onto Louisa Avenue and then left onto Budgie Road prior to entering Walton Park.
Parking for spectators is all along Mineral Ave. Please find parking on a side street and move towards Mineral Ave. with chairs and blankets to enjoy the parade.

Below is a rough parade timeline for the day of the parade.
3:30--Gates open at Mineral Farmer's Market, Walton Park, and Mineral Baptist Church for groups to begin assembling.
Please note: Mineral Baptist Church is for vehicles and floats only. There will be no parking at Mineral Baptist Church.
3:30-5:40 p.m.--Drop-off begins at Mineral Farmer’s Market Field
This is for drop-offs only. There will be no parking as there are businesses open, and we must minimize taking up their parking spaces.
If you would like to wait with your participant, please park at Walton Park and ride the shuttle over with them to wait.
4:00 to 5:30 p.m.-- Shuttle buses run from Walton Park to Mineral Farmer’s Market Field
5:15 to 5:45– Parade Line Up Time
Groups move into position.
Floats should be completed and ready to roll!
Walking groups should be gathered together in an orderly fashion
5:55–Road Closes for Parade
Floats move into the road
6:00–Parade Start Time!!
Have fun! Smile! Wave!
7:00-7:30–Parade ends in Walton Park
Floats must pull all the way into Walton Park before disassembling their floats and unloading participants. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. It ensures everyone’s safety.
Once disassembled, floats may slowly pull forward to exit out the back side of Walton Park in an orderly fashion, turning left onto 5th street and then right onto Richmond Ave due to the backup on Louisa Ave for parent pick-up.
Parents arrive and park or get in the pick-up line for participants, once the entire parade has come into Walton Park and pulled all the way forward.
8:00–Traffic will resume as normal
Please be patient as it will take a moment for traffic to return to normal. If you can find an alternative route home than Mineral Ave, please do so!
