All costumes, outfits, behavior, attitude, language, and dance moves must be appropriate for a young audience and will be held to a high standard.
Failure to comply may result in being asked to leave the parade immediately with no warning and may jeopardize a group’s approval to participate in the following years.
Please keep performance limit in the parade to 30 seconds to 1 minute in front of the judges.
This will eliminate back ups and large gaps in the parade.
Floats
Per state law, nothing should be thrown from any float. There should also not be anything causing viewers to be drawn into the parade route.
This includes beads, candy, pamphlets, etc.
It also includes the use of bubbles or foam which may draw children in.
Participants may walk alongside the floats and hand items to spectators
The use of sirens is absolutely prohibited before and during the parade. There should be NO sirens or loud airhorns on any float.
ONLY floats and the vehicles hauling them will be permitted in the Mineral Baptist Church parking lot.

Participants who drive will NEED to park at Walton Park and use the School Bus Shuttles to join the rest of their group at the Mineral Farmer’s Market.

NO OTHER PARKING at Mineral Baptist Church and Mineral Farmer's Market.
Organizations and drivers are responsible for ANY damage caused to other vehicles or property.
Participant Drop Off
Parents should drop children off at the Mineral Farmer’s Market in the designated loop
The drop-off will be similar to the school drop-offs at LCPS elementary schools and LCMS. Parents need to pull into the entrance to the Farmer’s Market off of 522. (Everything will be clearly marked with signs.)
Parents will remain in cars and their children will be ushered to the Farmer’s Market Field to join their chaperone and groups.
We need to keep the drop-off from backing up traffic, so please have your child ready to disembark when you pull in. Please keep things moving, and do not hold up the line.
Students can arrive at Mineral Farmer’s Market starting at 3:30PM.
Chaperones may not be there when students arrive, although they will be coming and expected to stay with students at all times.
Animals are not permitted to interact with spectators during the parade, including petting, or meet-and-greets.
Horse trailers will be parked in the designated parking area only.
Equestrian entries may not line up more than three horses/riders abreast.
Poop Scooping:
Four or fewer horses – must provide one costumed person equipped with scoop and container to clean up behind the horses.
More than four horses – must provide two costumed persons equipped with scoop and container to clean up behind the horses.
If the horses are “diapered”, costumed pooper-scoopers are not required.

If the group stops longer than 1 minute, they will be disqualified.
