ACE Engineering Teacher

Hi, I am one of the ACE Engineering teachers!  I teach the 10th grade class Computer Integrated Manufacturing and the 11th grade elective Principles of Engineering.  Both are part of our Project Lead the Way (PLTW) engineering pathway.

I have been a part of the Long Beach Unified School district since I attended CAMS in high school.  From there I earned a  bachelor's degree in Physics at UC Santa Cruz (go banana slugs!).  I earned my teaching credential at CSU Long Beach.  I have been a happy Jordan panther now for over 10 years!

10th Grade- Learn about how familiar products are manufactured, as well as lots of programming skills!  We learn to program CNC machines, VEX robotics, and robot arms.

11th Grade- Learn all about simple machines, circuits, fluid power, and structures! We apply our knowledge to build compound machines, a hydro or solar powered car, and a balsa wood bridge.
