Hello, my name is Ms. Lopez-Sandoval. I have been a teacher for 10 years (22-23). I earned my BA, multiple subject credential, and authorization to teach mathematics, from CSU Dominguez Hills (2009) after starting my post secondary education at LBCC (2003). I earned my Education Specialist credential at National University (2013) and Masters in Special Education from CSULong Beach (2021). I am currently teaching the Employment Skills course at Jordan High School.

My duty as a Career Transition Specialist (CTS) is to assist students in gaining valuable work experience and the opportunity to earn income. In our program, Workability, students can work up to 18 hours per week, develop a strong work ethic, self-confidence, and self-esteem, and have experiences that could result in a part-time job.
A big part of Workability is bridging the gap between employment and education. As a result, we evaluate each student's abilities, preferences, and career interests and do our best to match them with jobs that are a suitable fit for them as well as volunteer opportunities in their field of interest.
