Child and Family Development Consultants

The Child and Family Development Consultants (CFDC) work in collaboration with the Social Work Technicians, to support FSSTT initiatives. They collaborate with school teams to create and deliver professional development, to help educators increase their capacity and understanding of child social and emotional development in a school and family context.  They each have an area of focus and expertise, such as:

• Behaviour Management Systems

• Critical incidents support

• Equity, Diversity, Dignity, and Inclusion (EDDI)

• Family engagement

• Grief and loss

• Positive school climate, bullying and violence prevention

• Solution focused-education

• Trauma Informed Practices

• Wellness and physical activity 

They also work in conjunction with school administrators and staff, as well as facilitating the liaison with CIUSSS, hospitals, schools, and other community partners.
