Biking to and around the Lab is an alternative to single-occupant vehicles. Bicyclists can access and exit the Lab from Strawberry and Blackberry Gates using their Lab ID badge. Grizzly Gate can be used for access, but to enter at that gate you need to contact the SOC at 1-510-486-6299.
There are electric vehicle (EV) charging stations around the Lab's hill site. These spaces are reservation only.
If you need assistance with government vehicles, including GEMS, contact Fleet Services at fleet@lbl.gov.
You must follow parking guidelines.
If you are eligible for a parking permit and do not have one, make a badge appointment to pick up the parking placard.
The badge appointment system will send you an electronic gate pass.
You can only enter at Blackberry Gate if you do not have a working badge.
The Lab has a fleet of shuttles that operate between Lab locations, to and from public transit hubs, and on the Lab's hill site. Shuttle stops are marked with new signage If you are boarding a shuttle off the hill, show your ID badge to the driver to board.
Contact Bus Services at busservices@lbl.gov or 1-510-486-4165 with comments or suggestions.
Lab shuttle stops, both on site and off site, are marked with unique signs that identify that the location is Lab shuttle stop, the routes that use the stop, and the direction of travel.
The sign also has information on how to access additional shuttle information and download the TripShot app for real- time schedule information and trip planning.
