How to Download a Data Set

The recommended way to download a IMG data set(s) is via JGI Data Portal (https://data.jgi.doe.gov/). There are other ways within IMG to download a data set, e.g. Genome Cart. The genome cart download is just an API wrapper to the JGI Data Portal. When using the Genome Cart download, please read the message about the download status URL (see example the below) and the email with the download URL
