NERSC Outage July 22 to August  3 2026 

NERSC has plan an outage from July 22 to August 3 2026, read more here. 

This will affect IMG and other JGI Portals. 

A list of known tools that will be affected:

• IMG Selected Genome Blast will be unavailable.

• IMG data loading will be on pause during this time.

  • New IMG submissions

  • Isolate pipeline

  • Metagenome pipeline

• Collaboration  Tools

  • NMDC 

    • The following plots will be unavailable: Kraken2, Centrifuge , and GOTTCHA2 

  • Advanced analytics and visualization for multi-omics of microbiomes will be unavailable

  • KBase

    • UniProt Search

    • InterPro ID Mapping

    • Gene Ontology ID Mapping

    • ID Mapping

    • Genome Cart (DTS) Data Transfer to KBase

  • Metadata Explorer

• Downloads from the JGI Data Portal (JDP) will be unavailable.

  • IMG Genome Cart data set download via JDP.

  • IMG Genome and Metagenome detail page download data set via JDP
