PD opportunities for ESL, Spanish, Dual Language, and SEI teachers across experience levels.
How PD Works
For each content area, five types of opportunities are available:
District-wide facilitated PD series — after school
District-wide facilitated PD series — during half days
Facilitated PD series available on demand for specific schools or groups of educators (6+ participants; contact the ML Department to request)
Asynchronous, self-paced PD — recommended for advanced educators; spans the full year, evidence of learning via TeachPoint by May
External, for-cost PD by trusted providers (e.g., MATSOL) — contact the ML Department to discuss funding
All offerings meet DESE's definition of High Quality Professional Development and award PDPs upon completion of all requirements. Attendance to all sessions in a series is mandatory for PDP issuance — PDPs will not be prorated.
