Digital Citizenship Week 2022
Avenue Elementary teachers dedicated time to focus each day on lessons that applied to the School DigCit Spirit Week themes. Each day students dressed, represented, and learned about the Concepts of DigCit.

While teachers had several small opportunities to prepare and learn about Digital Citizenship Week, a professional development time was dedicated to explore deeper each of the 6 concepts of DigCit by Common Sense Media. Teachers worked in grade levels to learn, represent, and plan for instruction for DigCit Week.
To ensure parent involvement, Digital Citizenship and Computer Science Workshops are taking place this year to promote the positive leverage of instructional technology.
The Community and parents were also part of the Digital Citizenship Showcase Event for DigCit Week 2022. This showcase was created around the six (6) concepts from Common Sense Media DigCit curriculum as well as parental resources and support. The presentation was done bilingually with the participation of the Union Student Government Council students.
