Week of 4/1 - 4/5

April 4, 2024

Dear Parents,

Welcome back!  I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break and enjoyed the variety of weather we had here locally.

Please be on the lookout for today's Corrected Work Envelope.  Enclosed will be a packet regarding a book report/project that was just assigned.  Please read it carefully, sign the green tear-off, and let me know if you have any questions.  Be aware that the book your child chooses can be any fiction genre, but NO graphic novels are allowed.  However, it needs to be a book that he/she has never read and it needs to be within his/her AR range.  This project and two-minute commercial presentation are to be worked on at home. The project and oral presentation are due on May 1st.

On an entirely different note, a sheet is coming home today in the Corrected Work Envelope regarding Fitness Week, which begins on April 15th.  Please read through it carefully.  Our class is assigned the color, "royal blue".  Starting on April 15th, please dress your child in as much royal blue as possible each day.  Fitness Week shirts will be coming home soon.

As a reminder, 4 new AR points are due by Tuesday, April 9th.  Due to the book report assignment, there will be no new required AR point amounts assigned for the rest of April.  The final AR points will be assigned in May.

Sincerely,

Mrs. McLoud
