Week of 11/27 - 12/1
November 30. 2023
Dear Parents,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break. Before we know it, we'll be enjoying Winter Break as well! We've got lots going on before then, however. In fact, your child is bringing home a health project today on the topic of "values". We've discussed the meaning of values in class and their importance. In fact, your child even took a survey, ranking certain values in importance. (You can find this in the Corrected Work Envelope coming home today.). A project is also being sent home today. Be on the lookout for the paper-clipped packet and let me know if you have any questions. Be sure to send the tear-off back to school by Tuesday, 12/5. As a reminder, the project is due by Wednesday, 12/13. While this is a project for you and your child to do together, please make sure your child is doing a majority of the work.
The Scholastic Book Fair begins on campus tomorrow. This is often a highlight of the school year for the students. As we encourage the students to enjoy browsing and choosing books to read for pleasure, I'd like to encourage you to keep a watchful eye on what your child chooses at this event. Before purchasing, I encourage you to skim your child's choices and make sure the content aligns with your family's values.
Finally, the students have also received a new social studies textbook this week. It needs to be brought home and covered by Monday. Many thanks if you have already done this.
Have a wonderful weekend!
