This advanced, (capstone) course builds upon skills learned in graphic arts and graphic communications courses. Students continue to study graphic design as a creative process that combines art and technology to communicate ideas via training in the methods, tools and materials, and media of commercial art. Emphasis is placed on advertising design, branding, product development and manufacturing. In addition to print based products students are introduced to interactive media for web design, CNC Machines (3D printing and Laser engraving), garment printing, and stereography for emergent media (VR/AR). Students develop portfolios and complete certifications.
