GPT students participate in SkillsUSA, a national, career readiness organization. As members, students develop leadership and career skills and participate in competitions. A student run “Makers Club” meets outside of class to collaborate on making objects.
Our studio has exciting tools for students to expand their studies in design, including: 3D Printing, Laser Engraving, Arduino and Code projects, Pro-level digital printing for posters, stickers, garments, buttons and more.
GPT Pathway students have the opportunity to go on at least one yearly field trip to a cultural institution, a work based learning opportunity or college tour. We have visited the Getty Center, the Nickelodeon Studios, Graphics Expo Occidental and Cal State LA.
In 2027-28, the ERHS Graphics Lab will be articulated with LACC's art department. Students can earn college credit. Students can also earn certification in digital media and graphic communications.
