Celebrating Together: Exploring the World Around Us

This term, the Little Birds have been busy inquiring into the fascinating world of celebrations. Through hands-on activities, storytelling, and creative exploration, they’ve deepened their understanding of the diverse world and community we live in.

As part of this exciting journey, the children had the opportunity to visit the local Buddhist Temple. This special trip helped them learn about Buddhism and explore how different people celebrate and express their beliefs. Back in the classroom, they shared photos of celebrations from home, sparking meaningful conversations about traditions such as birthdays, religious festivals, and family gatherings.

The children were captivated by stories linked to various cultures, which brought the themes of celebrations to life. From colorful festivals to traditional customs, these stories helped broaden their horizons and develop their appreciation for diversity.

Food tasting added a delicious dimension to their learning! The Little Birds sampled a variety of breads from around the world, discovering new flavors and textures. This sensory experience inspired curiosity about where food comes from and the role it plays in bringing people together.
