Introduction to Home Learning

Due to the Academy closure we have made arrangements to ensure that programmes of work and student learning can be undertaken from home. On this homepage you will find an introduction to our home learning curriculum with a supportive video to guide you through these changes.

On our Resources Page you will find links to all the useful online websites that we may use to support our Home Learning Curriculum.

Using Google at Home

Elevate Coaching

Elevate education is a company that supports students with study techniques by running workshops and seminars designed to achieve behavioural change amongst students. They are now running and sharing virtual sessions for parents. Please find the letter here with more information about the most recent session on "Motivation" and information on how to register for the upcoming "Managing Student Stress and Wellbeing".

Please find our most recent pupil matters for Y7 below. Each year group tab has one specific for that year group - keep a close eye out for our newest version towards the end of T3.
Pupils Matters has a wealth of information for our pupils to both support them at home and to celebrate their achievements this year.

Google Classroom Guidance

All learning tasks and links for live lessons will be set on Google Classroom. All students have been given a login for Google Classroom and information on how to access it. For guidance on how to use google classroom please click here. You can find Google Classroom by using the link on the resources page and the button on each year group page.

There are supportive videos on each year group page to support with using Google Classroom.

The work to be completed will then be accessible on the google classroom for each subject and it is via this online platform that work is to be submitted back to teachers for feedback where requested.

If you/your child feel the work set is taking considerably longer than a typical lesson (1 hour) we advise you to contact the relevant member of staff who is setting the work, by addressing an email for their attention to parentenquiries@hundredofhooacademy.org.uk.
