Ever since we started physical work two months ago at Cardinal Langley, we have been consistently meeting and improving our garden.
The group is proud to report that our school garden is taking shape, with productive meetings ongoing every Friday. As a group supported by school staff, we are able to ensure the project runs smoothly. Our members in the Year 10 Genesis group display a high standard of dedication - we believe that there is lots of potential in our garden. We have been using a range of equipment, including shovels, trowels and rakes, to form our compost corner.
Our garden beds have now been prepared, many weeds cleared and dead grass removed. We feel as if we have made a lot of progress over these past few weeks, and this is highlighted by the fact that our garden looks a lot more presentable. We have now requested to order materials, such as wood for the beds, and are expecting to order plants very soon, as well as decorations/ornaments.
In addition to this, we made plans to meet during our Easter half term, and to utilise a mower (as well as other equipment) while doing so. Especially with the weather improving at the moment, we are finding work on our garden more and more pleasant; we are definitely enjoying the process.
We’d like to thank you for your continuous support and interest in our garden project. We are eager to continue our work, a physical representation of Laudato Si and Lasallian values.
Many thanks,
The Year 10 Genesis Group at Cardinal Langley.
