Argumentative response to Association for Educational Communications and Technology's (AECT, 2004) definition of Educational Technology

I learned to:

• Analyze the given definition of educational technology by the ACET.

• Defend statement with research  and anecdotal notes from experience.

• Create your own definition for educational technology.

Reflection: 

At first glance I expected of the definition of technology provided by the ACET to be outdated and irrelevant  based on the date of publishing, 2004.  The evolution of technology has grown leaps and bounds since then, while we are updating daily.  What I was most impressed with was the background information shared on how intentional they were in choosing their words. It is from understanding that part of the process in constructing the definition of technology that led me to agree with their definition, and redefine technology on my own.
