Prerequisite CFM or a High School Level Math Class

This course will teach students the everyday math skills needed for real life.  Students will learn how interest rates factor into making major purchases that involve borrowing money or paying on credit, payroll and the deductions necessary to pay taxes and plan for retirement, how to calculate and take advantage of price discounts and how they aide in comparison shopping for life’s necessities such as housing, cars, and insurance, how to keep track of a checking account and living within a budget.
