The children have been busy this week learning new songs for the Platinum Jubilee! Pupils in Zari and Pazazz classes have been particularly impressive as the children's wonderful singing could be heard down the corridors whilst they practised their songs ready for the final week of term. The children have been exploring the volume needed to project their voices without shouting, considering the pitch of the song and how to match this accurately through listening carefully to the songs.
Year 5 pupils have also been learning a new song on their ukuleles this week and have enjoyed using the notes they knew when reading the musical notation. Children in Year 3 are preparing for their recorder performance that is coming up by refining their skills. We can't wait to see the final performance!
If you would like to practise your musical listening at home, you could listen to the pieces below and see if you can work out the instruments being used in the piece as well as practise matching the pitch of the singing. Let your teachers and classes know how you get on!
