Maths

Celebrating our knowledgeable Mathematicians this week!

The approach to teaching Maths at Langley Park Primary Academy is consistent throughout all year groups. However, the learning content throughout the school varies week to week depending on the year group and skills being covered. The aim of this page is to share current learning from particular year groups and to keep you updated on any important matters involving Maths. This week, our focus is on Year 3 and Year 5.

Starting this week and running until the 19th of March, we have entered into a TTRS competition with the other primary academies within the Trust.

We do enjoy a bit of healthy competition at LPPA so please do encourage your children to spend 5 to 10 minutes each evening getting us some points whilst improving their times tables knowledge in the process!

In their recent learning, Year 5 pupils have been working on converting fractions to decimals to percentages and vice versa. Emilia and Raynish have been able to express their answers and thought process clearly and with precision. Well done you two!

In their recent learning, Year 3 pupils have been working on the tricky, yet fascinating, topic area of fractions. Charlie has been able to perfectly demonstrate his learning of solving a fraction of a given amount. Well done, Charlie!
