Primary Years Programme

Learner profile attributes are embedded with our school community. They play an important role in developing our students to be kind and caring citizens.  The aim of all IB programmes is for students to develop and demonstrate international-mindedness. It is a multifaceted concept that captures a way of thinking, being and acting.

There are 10 learner profile attributes within the Primary Years Programme:

Knowledgeable - Learning more about self, others and the world.

Caring - Helpful to others, empathetic, thoughtful, considerate, recognizes that he/she is part of a group.

Risk-taker - Willing to make mistakes, prepared to try something new, willing to try things in unfamiliar ways.

Principled  - Honest, makes good decisions, responsible, has a sense of fairness and justice.

Reflective - Think about his/her actions, learning and different ways to do things.

Communicator - Expresses feelings and thoughts across the curriculum.

Balanced - Uses time wisely and participate in a variety of activities.

Thinkers - Uses what he/she already knows and can build on his/her own ideas and the ideas of others.

Open-minded - Listens to others thoughts and ideas, accepts that there is more than one way of looking at things.

Inquirers - Ask questions, does not give up easily.
