World Book Day
Today, the academy has celebrated World Book Day. It has been fantastic seeing so many of the children walking into school wearing their pyjamas and with their favourite bedtime book.

We launched the day with a special assembly during which we listened to some authors share their favourite books. Patrick and Florence, from Melrose Class, also shared some of their recommended reads and some excellent top tips on how to select a book. As part of the day, staff worked together to produce our take on the Masked Reader where staff read one of their favourite childhood books. The children enjoyed guessing who the reader was based on photos from when staff members were younger
