Meetings and Due Dates
In order for course or program proposals to be added to a Curriculum Committee meeting agenda, proposals must have been approved by the responsible Dean and moved the next step in the workflow by the due date. Proposals should be submitted to the Dean before the due date, to allow time for review.
Meetings are held on Tuesdays, 3:30-5:00 pm., via Zoom or in person (location and link on agenda)
Fall Term 2024 due dates
Due in Fall for 25/26:
-All course revision* proposals
-All new CTE program proposals
-All inactive course proposals
Due - Oct 14
Meeting - Oct 29
Due - Nov 4
Meeting - Nov 19
Due - Nov 25 - final due date in fall
Meeting - Dec 10
Note: Not part of the official curriculum process, but be sure to submit accompanying fee forms via the appropriate process by early January
Winter Term 2025 due dates
Due in Winter for 25/26:
-All new courses
-Proposals for related CTE programs (those with a parent program)

Due - Feb 18 - final due date in winter

Spring Term 2025 due dates
Accepting proposals for 26/27

*Course revisions include modification to any of the following:
subject code (prefix)
course number
title
description
outcomes (can be submitted any time, though the earlier the better for annual assessment planning purposes)
credits
contact hours
prereqs / coreqs
request to inactivate (course will no longer be offered)
All major changes to credit courses must be reviewed by the Lane Curriculum Committee and approved by the Vice President of Academic Affairs. All new and revised courses must be submitted to the state CCWD/HECC for review and approval prior to offering them. New degree or certificate programs must be reviewed by the Committee and reviewed/approved by the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Lane Board of Education and the CCWD/HECC prior to marketing or offering them. Most curriculum proposals approved prior to March 1 will be effective Summer term of the next academic year. After March, approved proposals will be effective for the subsequent academic year.
