INTRODUCTION TO YOUR YEAR 5 TEACHING TEAM

Our Year 5 teaching team consists of Miss Kate Sullivan (LA13), Ms Linda Liebe (LA14), and Mrs Milena Kulikowski (LA15). We work together to plan, teach and assess all our Year 5 Learning content. Please find everything you need to know regarding our Online Learning Plan for 2022.

Please contact your child's teacher to let them know that your child will be learning from home due to COVID. This will allow the teacher to provide up-to-date learning relevant to what we are doing in class.

EXPECTATIONS

Students are expected to complete the following tasks using Google Classroom each day while learning from home:

1. Daily Check-in:

   1. Students can log in to the Google Classroom each day. This is to give students the opportunity to ask for assistance, engage with their teacher and peers and to communicate information.

2. Spelling (15 min)

   1. Daily spelling activity using the Google Slides template

   2. “Turn in” Spelling Activity at the end of the week using Google Classroom

   3. Power Spelling / Kids A-Z

3. Writing (15 - 20 min)

   1. Daily Writing activity, which consists of watching the first story on BTN Daily and completing the Daily Writing task assigned in Google Classroom

   2. “Turn in” their completed task using Google Classroom daily

4. Maths (60 min) - all links provided on Google Classroom

   1. Complete assigned Mathletics tasks online (not games/Mathletics Live)

   2. Times tables practice using timestables.com and multiplication.com

   3. Maths Mastery & Maths Practice as provided via Google Classroom
