Year 1

Year One Remote Learning

In the case of at home learning – all communication with your child’s teacher will take place through Class Dojo. The messaging function can be used for direct contact with the teacher, while students can also upload photos of their work for review and feedback from their teacher via the portfolio section of the app. At home learning should make up a maximum of 2 hours of your child’s day. Learning can take place in several ways using items which are easily accessible at home this may include: - Accessing Mathletics and Wheelers (e-books) online

- Reading and discussing books. Ask your children questions about what they are reading.

- Using everyday activities to practise maths and literacy skills e.g. setting the table and counting/adding the cutlery, writing a shopping list, baking etc.

- Making time for physical activity

The below grid also provides a number of suggested activities which will allow students to practise and consolidate the skills we have been learning in class. For more information and activities click on the button below for our Year 1 Remote Learning Site.
