Kits for Preschool Checkout
Fremont #1 school district was very fortunate to receive FIVE Wyoming Innovations Grants, from 2018 through 2023. One of the facets of the grant was to facilitate the introduction of basic computational thinking concepts to preschool students. To accomplish this, the District created age-appropriate curriculum kits that eligible preschools may borrow to use with their students in their facilities.
Though WDE ended the grant, this program remains open to Lander preschools that meet the following requirements:
Accredited privately-owned preschools (not daycare-only) whose sole business is preschool and who operate within the boundaries of the Fremont #1 school district.
Preschools must attend the meetings held by Paula Vincelette, the District's Preschool Liaison.
Before any kits can be checked out, an agreement must be reviewed with District staff and signed. View the agreement here (shared doc)
Kits are checked out via the calendar and checkout form (see bottom of this page). Please put in the request one or more days before you plan on using the kit so we have time to make sure it is prepared and to get it where it is needed.
