The Alumni Choir, founded in 2005 when the school celebrated its 35th Anniversary, is now a thriving group of more than 80 passionate singers. Composed of alumni who graduated in the recent 40 years, the choir performs both sacred and secular repertoire from contemporary and historic composers.
The choir has regularly performed at the school's anniversary concerts, including the Lam Woo 40th Anniversary Concert and the Lam Woo Summer Concerts. In the Lam Woo 40th Anniversary Concert, the choir, together with the School Mixed Voice Choir and School Orchestra, performed Hallelujah from Handel's Messiah as a finale to the concert. In 2014, the choir was invited by the Hong Kong Oratorio Society to perform in 'Beethoven's Peace & Joyce Concert', conducted by Prof. Gabriel Leung. After the COVID-19 pandemic, with the aid of the Old Students’ Association, Alumni Choir reunited for a joyful music celebration at Lam Woo Summer Concert 2023.
With many new music talents emerging in the choir in recent years, taking up the roles of conductors, soloists and accompanists, the choir is devoted to sharing their affection for choral music across generations. The Alumni Choir is integral to the school's heritage and reflects both the school's past accomplishments and aspirations for the future.
