College Credit Opportunity
BizInnovator Startup is a program for high school students that provides an accessible solution for innovation and entrepreneurship education. With BizInnovator Startup, students practice the business and entrepreneurial skills they'll need to be career and college ready. Students gain knowledge in entrepreneurship and confidence in their ability to become one.
Benefits of Earning College Credit
There are many reasons why earning college-level credit for the introductory entrepreneurship class is beneficial. They include:
Sense of achievement. An official transcript from the University of Iowa, a Tier 1 research institution, demonstrates the student's ability to do college-level work while still in high school.
Credits may help a student stand out for college admissions and scholarship applications.
Credits are transferable to most colleges and universities, and may reduce a student's college course load and tuition dollars spent.
Apply for College Credit
Students will have the opportunity to take an end of course exam. If students pass the exam, they can earn up to 3 college credits from the University of Iowa. Upon successful completion of the exam, students will be notified to apply for college credit
College credits earned are usually transferrable to other colleges and universitities pending their review and approval.
