I am very familiar with the Cortland community, having been a 2014 valedictorian of Maplewood High School. From there, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Youngstown State University in 2018. During my time at YSU, I gained invaluable experience through being head drum major of the YSU marching pride as well as being a member of the prestigious YSU Wind Ensemble and Dana Chorale. Upon graduation in 2018, I taught three years of K-8 music at Madison Community Elementary in Cleveland, OH before spending the past three years in Las Vegas, Nevada teaching K-5 music and being an Athletic Director at Mater Academy of Nevada. Entering my 7th year teaching, I am overjoyed to be joining the wonderful staff at Lakeview Local Schools! I look forward to continuing a tradition of excellence within the choral department. I will have the pleasure of directing the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade choirs as well as our HS Concert Choir and our auditioned group, the Madripops.

I am a graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts. I acquired my Master of Arts Education from Youngstown State University with a concentration in studio painting. I began teaching at Lakeview Local in 2004, and I also adjunct at the University of Mount Union as a ceramics professor part time. My high school classes include Art 1, Art 2, Art 3 and College Credit Plus classes such as 2-D design and Drawing (through YSU) and Art History (through EGCC). Directly after doing my student teaching here at Lakeview, I graduated (in 2002) with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Youngstown State University. I taught in Akron Manchester for 6 years from 2002-2008. From there, I came to Lakeview and have been teaching here since 2008. I received my Masters Degree in Music Performance in Conducting from Youngstown State University in 2013. I direct the Lakeview 8th Grade Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band Jazz Ensembles, Pep Band, and Marching Band. I also teach a College Credit Plus course called Music Literature. I am a saxophonist and play often for the Top Notes, Packard Band, and Packard Big Band.
