2023 was my first year at Lakeview and I couldn’t have been more excited to become a Bulldog! I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Mild/Moderate Intervention Specialist from Notre Dame College as well as a degree in Early Childhood Education. I come to you from Lordstown High School, where I taught self-contained ELA and math for grades 7-12. Prior to that I spent four years at Champion High School as part of the intervention team working with students in grades 9-12.
After staying home to raise my children, I found my passion in Special Education. My husband, Christofer, and I reside in Cortland and we have two children, Luca and Pria, who attend Lakeview Schools. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, cooking, and snuggling up with our three puppies. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year and am committed to providing high-quality, individualized instruction to meet the needs of each of my students.

I started at Lakeview in 2026. I'm excited to be here and called a Bulldog! I attended and earned both of my degrees from Kent State University. I hold a Bachelor's in Speech Pathology and Audiology and went on to earn my Master's in Special Education. I also hold an Administrative Specialist license after completing coursework at Muskingum University. I come to Lakeview after spending the past year working in the private sector for a software company and re-discovering my passion for teaching. Prior to that, I was an intervention specialist for grades 9-12 at Bristol High School for 10 years, specializing in math. I started my teaching career with the Trumbull County ESC teaching students with multiple disabilities in grades K-3.
I live in Girard with my husband, Cory and our daughter, Paige. In our free time, you can usually find us at the softball fields. When softball is not in season, I enjoy relaxing with my family and friends, reading, running, and traveling.

I began working for Lakeview Schools in 1992. Both my bachelor's and master's degrees are from Kent State University. I have three teaching certifications. I am an intervention specialist. I work with students who struggle in math, specifically algebra and geometry. These classes are to help students develop and build upon necessary skills to be more successful in math. I also teach two special education math classes. Math is one of my favorite things to do! I enjoy working with children and each day I learn something from them.
As the purpose of these classes is to help students develop and build skills, it is imperative that each student attempts the homework from their regular math class at home, using their notes and examples from class. This allows for time in class for them to ask questions and for clarification. Any encouragement and support of each student to do so will greatly benefit the student.

I have been teaching with Lakeview Local Schools since 2000. My first two years were at Bazetta Elementary. I hold a BA in education from Carlow University, Special Education certification from Duquesne University and an MA in Special Education from Youngstown State University. While working on my undergraduate degree I worked as a job coach helping individuals with disabilities find and hold employment. While at Youngstown State University working on my Master’s, I also worked at the Rich Center for Autism.
I enjoy being at the high school teaching Intervention classes, collaborating with my fellow teachers and helping my students become successful in taking the next steps toward adulthood.
