After growing up in the Lakeview community I was fortunate enough to come back. I began my career in 2015 teaching high school mathematics classes beginning with Geometry and Pre-Algebra then taking over Algebra 1 for 8th graders and sections of the CCP Statistics course.
I received my bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Miami University in Oxford Ohio and continued my education receiving a masters, also in mathematics education, from Youngstown State University two years later in 2017. Personally I enjoy politics, running, and Star Trek. Currently I am a coach for the high school boys soccer team and an advisor for ski club.

In 2018 I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education from Youngstown State University. For 2 years I worked as a substitute teaching algebra, geometry and seventh grade math. Then I went on to teach fourth and sixth grade math at Ashtabula Area City Schools. I have been a Kinsman resident for the last 10 years with my husband, 2 dogs, and 1 cat.
Starting a new job at Lakeview is a thrilling and invigorating experience filled with anticipation and opportunity. As I step into this role, I am eager to contribute my skills and passion for education to a vibrant community dedicated to fostering growth and learning.

Home is where the heart is. As a graduate of Lakeview Local Schools, I take great pride in the opportunity to instill our school's strong educational and ethical philosophies to our community's future. In 2009, I graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education Grades 7-12 Integrated Mathematics and taught for one year at Cuyahoga Falls High School. In 2010, I was fortunate enough to accept a position with a district that I love and began my career at Lakeview High School. Through my time at the high school I have taught a variety of college prep, honors and college level courses including: Algebra 1, Geometry, College Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus. In 2011, I graduated with a Masters Degree in Educational Administration K-12 Leadership from Kent State University and then completed the CCP (College Credit Plus) Certification through Youngstown State University in 2016. My husband is active-duty military and we have two wonderful children. Our family roots are strongly planted in this community and we are fully invested in its success. We could not ask for a better district and hometown to raise our children! We Are Lakeview!

I have been teaching mathematics here at Lakeview High School since 1995. In 1991, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Denison University (Granville, Ohio) and went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, Tennessee) in 1992. After earning my degrees, I spent 1 year subbing and tutoring. I then went on to teach 1 year at Grand Valley High School (Orwell, Ohio) and 1 year at St. Thomas Aquinas High School (Louisville, Ohio). My current teaching assignments include 4 Algebra I classes and 2 CCP Statistics classes. I have been a Cortland resident since 1995 and continue to reside here with my husband, 4 children, and 2 dogs. I am proud to be a part of the Lakeview Local School District and I look forward to working with you and your children. Go Bulldogs!

I began working for Lakeview Schools in 1992. Both my bachelor's and master's degrees are from Kent State University. I have three teaching certifications. I am an intervention specialist. I work with students who struggle in math, specifically algebra and geometry. These classes are to help students develop and build upon necessary skills to be more successful in math. I also teach two special education math classes. Math is one of my favorite things to do! I enjoy working with children and each day I learn something from them.
As the purpose of these classes is to help students develop and build skills, it is imperative that each student attempts the homework from their regular math class at home, using their notes and examples from class. This allows for time in class for them to ask questions and for clarification. Any encouragement and support of each student to do so will greatly benefit the student.

I have been teaching in the Lakeview School District since 2003, which has been my one and only home for my entire teaching career. I have taught nearly every math class in my tenure here, but currently teach Geometry (9th and 10th graders) and Algebra 3 (seniors). I have held supplemental roles at the high school which have included jr. class advisor and boys golf coach but currently hold the position of senior class advisor.
I grew up in Leavittsburg as a Labrae Viking. I furthered my education at YSU, graduating in 2002 with a degree in Math Education and received my Master’s Degree in curriculum and instruction from Ashland University in 2008. I now reside in Cortland with my wife, Regan, who teaches 5th grade math and science at LaBrae, and our two boys, Brayden and Landen. When I am not at work, you can find me at the baseball fields, soccer fields, or basketball court, where I enjoy coaching and assisting my kids’ sports teams. My hobbies consist of golf and singing and playing music with family and friends.
It is my hope that I can help my students to become lifelong learners and to appreciate the value of education.
