This week students are starting their career projects. Each student will pick a job that they're interested in after high school. They'll research their career and find colleges where they can earn a degree for their chosen profession. Students may also choose military service.

This week in Spanish, we have been finishing our unit on "El Día de los Muertos" (The Day of the Dead). Students are working on their summative assessment ("Day of the Dead Slides" in Schoology).
Next week, we will turn our attention from culture to language with subject pronouns and the verb ser (to be). We will also begin learning new vocabulary related to classes, clothing, and technology.

New students for a new quarter. The groups are already making progress and have done safety checks and reviewed measuring. We can now design our rockets and begin building them next week. At the same time we will learn about Newton's laws of motion.
