I feel like we had a pretty good start to the second quarter of school. This week in math students were reintroduced to equations and how to look for and combine like terms and use inverse operations to solve. We will continue to work on solving equations in the coming week. Each lesson will add a new layer to solving equations in order for students to build up their Algebra foundations prior to high school.
As always, don't forget to check your student's Schoology for some Family Engagement and check out how they have done on their quizzes.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.

We are now in Quarter 2. Report cards for Quarter 1 will be issued shortly, if they haven't been sent already.
Algebra students are currently working on multi-step inequalities. We have a couple more topics to cover before students have an assessment to show off their mastery. The two remaining topics are: solving and graphing absolute value equations; and re-writing formulas. I anticipate the assessment to be the end of next week.
Grade 8 Math students are currently working on multiplying and dividing Scientific Notation. Students will have an assessment next week to show off their mastery of Scientific Notation.
I apologize I am behind updating Quarter 2 assignments in Schoology.
