"How can I help with my child's planning?"

Parents can help with the process by:

• Asking your student to show you what they have been doing on career cruising or completing activities with your student.
• Knowing what ACP activities are completed in each grade level.
• Knowing your student's interests, skills, and values.
• Encouraging your student to get involved in activities that match their interests, skills, and values.
• Reminding your student that all careers have multiple pathways and encouraging them to explore all the options.
• Talking to your student about your career experiences.
• Helping your student find the resources they need to be successful.
• Attending job fairs and campus visits with your student.
• Attending an apprenticeship information meeting with your student.
