Math recovery, previously called math intervention, is a self-paced, virtual driven class where students who have not passed required classes attend to earn back missed credit. All students must pass 3.0 credits of mathematics to graduate from Lakeland Union High School. Math recovery is a catch-all opportunity for students missing credit(s) to learn, practice, and apply their knowledge of the content through assessment methods to demonstrate understanding and mastery of the material. This is a free flowing environment where students will work at their own pace and are given a specific scope and sequence document featuring required lessons to watch, homework to complete, and assessments to pass. While homework is not graded, it is required to complete as a check for understanding. All quizzes and tests must be passed to move on.
