General Course Information
This is a trimester course that is a structured and guided study hall. This class is primarily set up for math assistance and re-teaching. However, not all students in class require math help and those may need time to complete other classwork during the day. Daily, you can expect a check-in from Mr. Barutha about what you plan to work on immediately and what will be worked on next. Weekly, you can expect a printed grade report showing your updated academic standing. Mr. Barutha has a variety of subject backgrounds and is willing to work with you on organization, prioritizing assignments, writing resumes and ACP work, and more.

Performance Expectations
Class is designed to be a silent, independent working period. Many students will utilize this time to make up quizzes, tests, and projects. If you have nothing to work on, you can work on ACT prep through Xello, career readiness surveys and college/career research through Xello and the internet, independently read school appropriate material, or some other task that is school appropriate. Each student should bring a pencil, notebook, and their Chromebook/textbook to class each day.
