Use of Space & Time

Libraries are designed to be used for more than designated library times. (Learning Commons model) 

• Comfortable seating in the library that is flexible.

Activities have been created to incorporate creativity and critical thinking. 

Spaces are designed to meet the needs of diverse learners; meeting the needs of individual learning, small and large group learning. 

Rotate displays to promote curiosity and highlight new topics. 

Shared Google calendar allowing self schedule of resources, space and Librarian in both Library and MakerSpace Lab 214. 

Self schedule Virtual Librarian for students and staff. 

Maker space activities and spaces are provided and supported in library and MakerSpace.

Variety of seating options. (high, low, soft, etc.) 

Flexible scheduling for Librarian to work with classes at all subject and grade levels.

Increase space options for collaboration, quiet reading and creativity. 

• Providing specific space for personal choice reading.

Continue to build collections and resources for center and maker activities.

Continue to educate students, staff and the community about the spaces available to them in the library and how they can utilize them with their classes, groups, and organizations.

Expand use of MakerSpace across the curriculum.
