Leverages an understanding of school and community needs to identify and invest in digital resources such as books and ebooks to support student learning.
Maintain accurate records of spending according to budgetary allowances as stated by DPI.
Manage CSF to purchase resources across a variety of platforms including digital and print.
Purchase library materials (print and digital) according to professional reviews, student interest, staff curricular requests, and utilize services such as thought through Junior Library Guide, Destiny Library Analysis, and the CCBC (Children's Cooperative Book Club).
Run Titlewave Collection analysis at least twice a year to support weeding and purchasing decisions.
Purchase supplies and accept donation to support individual students interests to build capacity as inquiring learners in the MakerSpace.
Member of the Wisconsin Schools Digital Library Consortium (WSDLC) to provide 24/7 access to thousands of eBooks and audio books.
Purchase digital resources through WiLS (Wisconsin Library Services) for maximum savings and cooperative purchasing discounts for databases that support curriculum needs.
Regularly run reports on digital collections, both books and databases to monitor usage.
Promote resources provided by Badgerlink and WISELearn.
Find new and/or additional resources for staff.
Work with the IT Department and technology team to evaluate usage agreements of digital media, apps, extensions and websites to ensure providers are adhering to CIPA (Children's Internet Protection Act), COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule) , FIRPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act), PPRA (Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment), and have agreements on file with W.S.P.A. (Wisconsin Student Privacy Alliance). In addition to understanding the Terms of Service of each service provider with respect to W.S.P.A.
