Program Planning

Program planning is an important part of a student’s educational journey in high school. Thoughtful planning helps students explore their interests, identify potential career goals, and select courses that support both their academic growth and future aspirations. This section of the Curriculum Guide is designed to help students and families understand the opportunities available as they build a personalized pathway through grades 9–11.

Within this section, students will find information about career development and the ways in which our programs connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities. Career pathways highlight areas of study that align with various industries and postsecondary options, helping students begin to envision potential futures while still in high school.

In addition, this section outlines program pathways and graduation-related requirements to ensure students remain on track for successful completion of their high school program. Detailed elective options for each grade level—9th, 10th, and 11th—are also included, allowing students to explore interests, develop new skills, and deepen learning in areas that support their goals.

Students are encouraged to review this information carefully and work closely with their school counselors, teachers, and families to make informed decisions about course selections. By planning intentionally, students can take full advantage of the diverse learning opportunities available and create a high school experience that prepares them for college, careers, and lifelong success.
