Courses should be selected wisely. Students will not be permitted to drop/add a course after the 10th day of the academic year. Students who failed one or more required courses during the regular school year will be rescheduled for those courses. Any student who chooses to retake a course in summer school will be rescheduled for the appropriate courses upon providing the counseling office with proof of passing. Since courses may fill up early, students cannot be assured that their original course requests for the following year will be fulfilled.
Students are reminded that all honors and advanced placement courses must be approved by department faculty members prior to submitting requests to the counseling department for scheduling. Admission to the Honors and AP courses will be based on specific criteria. Admission to electives is based on availability.
Every attempt will be made to schedule students in courses which have been selected; however, if a course is closed due to space limitations or the student does not select the minimum of 7 credits, the student will be placed in open courses.
