Student academic data is used to help ensure that all students are placed in courses that appropriately challenge and support their learning. Multiple sources of data—including PSSA/Keystone scores, PVAAS projections, CDT/Firefly scores, Aimsweb scores, grades, and teacher recommendations —are reviewed to identify students who may benefit from enrollment in Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. This process is designed to be fair, transparent, and aligned with district expectations, with the goal of providing students equitable access to rigorous academic opportunities while supporting their individual strengths and areas for growth.
