Welcome to the Lakeland High School Curriculum Guide website where you will find all of the information you need for the course selection process. This guide is a resource for students and parents to engage in educational and career planning.
This course selection guide is intended to assist students in grades 8-11 and their parents/guardians in their selection of high school courses (grades 9-12) in preparation for future success in one’s post-secondary endeavors. Students should keep their post-secondary plans in mind when deciding which courses to take. Students are also encouraged to become involved with extracurricular activities. A list of school-sponsored clubs, sports, and organizations can be found in the Student Activity Handbook.
The curriculum guide lists the full roster of board-approved courses, however, final decisions for which courses are taught next school year have to be made with respect to student enrollment and staffing constraints. Students and parents/guardians may contact or conference with teachers or counselors throughout the process.
