This page is intended to help students, teachers and parents discover and learn more about the assistive technology that is available on students' Chrome Books.
AT helps students to become independent. For example, instead of waiting for a teacher to read something to the student, with AT the student can have the computer read to them. This allows the student to work productively and independently. AT helps students develop skills they can use as adults.
Text to Speech/Text Read by Computer: When the student has the computer read the text aloud
Speech to Text/Voice typing/dictation: When the student speaks into a microphone and the computer writes the words as they are spoken
