Gender Spectrum: A national organization committed to the health and well-being of gender- diverse children and teens through education and support for families, and training and guidance for educators, medical and mental health providers, and other professionals.

2S/LGBTQ Terms & Definitions

LGBTQ2S, LGBT, LGBTQ, LGBTQA, TBLG are some of the acronyms refer to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Two-Spirit and Ally. 


Although all of the different identities within “LGBT” are often lumped together (and share sexism as a common root of oppression), there are specific needs and concerns related to each individual identity.
