When our ʻāīna thrives, our lāhui thrives
This Pilikanaka unit explores the sense of commitment to the ʻāina from which haumāna lives. Students gain knowledge through huakaʻi in both their wahi, and within the ahapuaʻa of Kapālama. Research of inoa ʻāina, moʻolelo, mele, and oli was conducted to grow ʻike kūpuna. Learning was highlighted through an ʻŌiwi Arts Exhibition. Student-created websites have been linked below to provide a repository for kumu to use in their classrooms. Enjoy!
