Nadine Jacang, Christy Mishina, Tisha Louis and Noe Coelho are 1988 graduates. Committed to serving the lāhui, each has returned to teach at Kamehameha Schools. After spending some time catching up on the "good old days", their was a collective desire to restore the ahapuaʻa of Kapālama. In April of 2018, the group volunteered to spear head a Give Back Day for kumu and their ʻohana with campus as the focus. Since then, each has worked in their own educational divisions to create opportunities for students to explore and learn from the wahi of Kapālama. Their desire is nothing new to the campus, but rather, it is their time to carry the torch and "pupukahi i holomua".
