I know Microsoft Teams may not be a fan favorite among the Microsoft applications. Many know about the video conferencing feature, but there are several other features in Teams. These features may be useful to you and your team, in terms of collaboration and communication.

So what exactly is Microsoft Teams?
MS Teams is a communication and collaboration software. It is commonly known for itʻs video communication feature, but it's also great for:
Quick chat communication (like text messages)
Group organization/collaboration (membership groups within Teams)
File sharing (linked directly with OneDrive, anything shared is stored)
Teams is accessible via Office.com but the online version has limited functionality. For full functionality, KS ITD recommends using the Teams cilent application.
It doesn't take too long to get Teams set-up. You may already have it set-up! If you do, you can skip this section.
If you have any issues or questions about set-up, contact an ETS member (contacts at bottom of the page).
Chatting is just a quicker, sometimes more convenient way to get a message to a colleague. Great for quick conversational messages, chat can be used along side Outlook emails.

The Teams Phone is another great way to connect with colleagues at KS! Like Outlook emails, our accounts are all connected. Text, audio or video call anyone in KS just by searching for their name!
